God damn he has way too many themes... and these are just a fraction of them... I only really like the SA2 "It doesn't matter" anyways.

He was once the greatest video game character to ever side scroll.

While I still love Sonic, and I know people hear this all the time, his games have lost their spark as of Sonic Adventure 2.

While I don't really HATE any of the newer Sonic games, they are no masterpieces. In fact, the only game I played that I really thought was a drag was Sonic the Hedgehog 2006.

Either way, I grew up with the hedgehog, and I don't really think anything could make me stop loving him.

Sonic the Hedgehog holds the world record for longest running comicbook based on a video game.

The best thing we got outta Mario was the 12 part "Super Mario Adventures" comic... I was on mario wiki last night and read of a really interesting looking Nintendo Comic staring Mario, Kirby, and Link...but it was German. Shame. Kids and teens love nintendo characters. You'd think the merchandise would crowd store shelves.

Now we count ourselves lucky to get a few mario plushies and novelty items from hot topic. Whereas Japan has a manga for every game character and stuffed Mr. Saturns.
