Petey Piranha gets a lot of hate as a Mario Character. As much as I miss the Koopalings, I kind of like him, and feel he adds a lot more variety to the Mario bosses than the same old koopa kids. He's made quite a name for himself lately, appearing in Mario Sunshine, New Super Mario Bros, Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, and even Super Smash Bros Brawl. He also showed up in Super Mario Galaxy, although he looked much different, and was called Dino Piranha. Technically not the same, but close enough.

In Mario Sunshine, he was known to shoop a stream of brown goo. Pretty gross... what's worse is that there was a toad covered in the same goo, and he said..." It tastes kind of sweet "

I was worried when we saw him in Super Smash Bros Brawl's website. I thought he was going to end up playable. ... I could see that decision being made. Mario Sunshine was the most recent game, and he would be the 2nd most likely Mario character next to Baby Bowser's Rehash... thankfully he was just a boss. Dissapointed that King Boo wasn't thrown in there for Luigi though.


In case you don't know, that other piranha plant is Mama Fire Plant, from the first episode of the Super Mario World cartoon. Petey looks like he's trying to be a sweety, but really, he actually plans to eat that fire flower.
