There are seven Magypsies total. You don't find out who the the seventh is until the game is nearly over. I heard Rumors it was originally going to be Kumatora. Hmm. Well the hair color is the same... but in EarthBound 64, it looked purple...
I like these things. They're funny, and also they are really nice people. Itoi said once in an interview he had Magypsie like friends, and if the Magypsies were real, he would want people to be kind to them. Which, unfortunately, as the world is now, would not happen.
The one in the Green, Iona, is the one who teaches Lucas PSI, through some sort of baptism ritual... although the black screen and the dialogue make it a very suggestive sight gag. I beleive Iona also teaches Kumatora "Star Storm" with a bolt of Lightning.
Don't hate on characters like this. Just grow a sense of humor and learn to love them. That goes for you Tingle and Ooccoo haters too.

How could people hate these characters? Not me. I like the Magypsies. To Lucas, They're like the answer to Ness's Buzz Buzz. I thought the scene where Ionia helps Lucas reliaize he has PSI was really weird. Are you sure it was referencing a baptism?
